Set off to discover an authentic territory...
By staying at the La Vigotte hotel, you are in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Natural Park, 40 km from Epinal and 30 km from Gérardmer. An exceptional natural environment with its superb fir forests, its flora and fauna, its rivers, mountain lakes, ponds, waterfalls and thermal springs.
Summer and winter, the Vosges represent a fantastic playground for lovers of beautiful hikes with the immediate proximity of the start of two marked trails and the Girmont, Remiremont and Faymont trails as well as leisure activities in the great outdoors: fishing, orienteering, mountain biking... We rent equipment for “no kill” fishing in our ponds and sell cards for fishing at the Villerain pond. Labeled “Accueil Vélo”, we propose two electric mountain bikes for rental.
10 minutes from our hotel, Remiremont, located on the border of three regions (Lorraine, Franche-Comté and Alsace), starting point of the Voie Verte offers ideal access to "green leisure" in this Vosges massif. Tourist resort at the junction of the Moselle and Moselotte valleys, Remiremont reveals its historical heritage and its gastronomic specialties including Trout Pâté des Abbesses. Lovers of good food and gourmets will also appreciate the proximity of three remarkable renowned taste sites: Fougerolles and its famous kirsch, Luxeuil-les-Bains and its fabulous ham and finally, Le Val d'Ajol and its famous chitterling sausage.
During your stay with us, in the heart of preserved nature combining hydrotherapy (cure and well-being) and heritage, you will be seduced by the picturesque charm of our small tourist towns. All cultivating a pleasant art of living nourished by the generous Vosges region, many of them can boast of being labeled: “Green Stations”, “Village-Etape”, “Country of Art and History”, “Remarkable Sites of Taste” and “Most Beautiful Detours in France”. Their terroir and crafts can be discovered along the aisles of the famous Christmas markets of Alsace such as those of Colmar or Kaysersberg (only 1 hour away) or during the Venetian carnival of Remiremont or the chitterling sausage fair of Val d' Ajol... So many good reasons to come and visit them.
25 hiking trails
Traveling the hiking trails in the area is a real pleasure, both summer and winter. Nearly 25 discovery trails of the Vosges fauna and flora, in the heart of varied landscapes, are at your disposal!
PRACTICAL: Several hikes are accessible directly from the hotel; their itineraries are available to you upon simple request at reception.
Mountain bike
We propose our 2 electrically assisted bikes for rent at a rate of 25 euros per bike per day.
PRACTICAL: We provide you with a covered garage for your bicycles (please make sure to bring your personal lock)
Fishing
Our instructions: No-kill (release caught fish) and the use of equipment suitable for pond fishing. You will then have the pleasure of teasing roach, carp or pike
A stone's throw from the hotel, the Villerain pond is open to fishing for a fixed price (daily, weekly or annual) on sale at La Vigotte.
Bowling and pétanque games
What could be better than getting outside, in the fresh air, and enjoying a moment of sharing and conviviality around a game of bowling or pétanque!
We propose our brand new games at the rate of 10 euros per hour for pétanque and 15 euros per hour for bowling.
Orienteering
La Vigotte wants to share with you all the richness of its natural domain! This is why we have created three orientation courses for you, the duration and theme of which vary between each.
